Echoes of the Unheard Podcast

Holding Space to Break Silence. A Collaboration from Truth to Power Northwest

What would it sound like if those most harmed by injustice could tell their stories—on their terms?

Echoes of the Unheard is a new interview podcast hosted by veteran PNW journalist Jared Brown featuring conversations with people whose rights and lives are most at risk—from policing, poverty, mental illness, and other forms of systemic discrimination—but rarely get to speak for themselves without interruption or distortion.

These aren’t narratives filtered for convenience or to support agendas. These stories come from communities that often go long ignored until tragedy strikes. Their perspectives are rooted in lived experience—complex and fully human.

This is journalism that starts a new conversation.

🎧 What to Expect

Too many news stories are told from the outside looking in. And communities' silence is too often mistaken for nothing being wrong.

Built not inside a newsroom but in response to the ways they fail, this show is a space for truth-telling, connection, and care. It’s for anyone failed by systems that may barely acknowledge they exist. Here, their voices come first.

With Echoes from the Unheard, Truth to Power Northwest isn't waiting for legacy media to get it right. We’re building something better—together.

Production begins in early summer 2025.
